Registered Massage Therapists in Langley
What is Massage Therapy?
In practice, Registered Massage Therapy is the utilization of a combination of therapeutic techniques to provide relief, and address a variety of health concerns we all experience in our everyday lives. Some of these therapeutic techniques may include Swedish style relaxation, myofascial release, cranialsacral therapy, myofascial trigger point release and many more. Often they are used in varying degrees by an individual therapist and based on each client's needs and specific health concerns. A therapist may use one technique exclusively in a treatment or not at all, dependent on additional training they undertake after becoming a RMT. Regardless of the type of technique, we will always work with you to develop the best treatment style and plan for you as an individual.
As a great alternative or addition to be used with traditional medicine, or other complimentary therapies, massage can help with concerns such as...
- Whiplash & related injuries
- Headaches (Tension, Migraine or Cervical)
- Scoliosis & other postural imbalances
- Pregnancy & menstruation related complaints
- Constipation
- Stress, Tension
- Fibromyalgia
- Joint pains & dysfunction
- Injuries such as strains, sprains, rotator cuff tears
- Post surgical complaints or complications (Scar tissue, adhesions, swelling and edema)
- Rheumatic conditions (Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis etc.)
Some of the many benefits people see are increased sense of physical wellbeing, increased quality of sleep and energy levels, and a decrease in chronic pain. Although we can't list all the benefits or types of conditions we can treat for you (there are many), rest assured that even if you don't see your concern here, we are always happy to meet new clients and to discuss your options for treatment with us.
